SUMMARY

In 2016, Coffeemate went through a major brand refresh in order to reach younger consumers– specifically, on-the-go parents and college students. To meet the needs of such a tech-driven audience, we created a responsive website built on systematic design thinking that could host a wide array of products and recipes. The design, taxonomies, and research conducted for the website ended up informing a large part of the new Coffeemate brand.

TRANSFORMATIVE

From the motion of page elements, to subtle animated buttons and copy, we continuously reinforce the theme of transformation to our end user.

AUTHENTIC

Using inspiration from both the brand and the packaging, the natural elements that surround everyday coffee-making create a feeling that is equal parts authentic and organic.

INTENTIONAL

The imagery contains the "perfectly imperfect" moments that occur while making our coffee, capturing the personality that each of us bring to our perfect cup.

FLUID

By simulating the "Bloom" of Coffeemate pouring into coffee, we capture the excitement that occurs during morning coffee preparation.

The Bloom represents creamer pouring into coffee, and inspired many of the animations on the site.
